Miniature Framed Landscape Oil Painting Remnants
I have always been fascinated by oil paintings and the stories they tell. Oil paintings glow with magic and even after they have seen their best days, they continue to portray the life the artist intended. As my collection of oil paintings continues to grow, I occasionally come across paintings that are in a terrible state. I know the love that the artist put into each painted canvas, so in an effort to preserve that love, we created our framed oil painting remnants.
Oil paintings make a room soar, they tell stories that no other medium can rival. Occasionally paintings become damaged by time, tragic accidents or they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. We believe that oil paintings that have met their untimely demise, deserve a second chance at adorning your wall and bringing a smile to your face. We create tiny oil painting remnants with the areas of the painting that were salvageable. We set the canvas in miniature gold frames and attach silk like chiffon ribbons with frayed edges for hanging the mini masterpieces. Each piece is lovingly handmade with a 9 step process.
Our oil painting remnants were created with an outdoor landscape filled with trees, greenery, flowers and a blue grey sky. These paintings have a portrait orientation. Each painting collection is a limited run. Number of paintings available, depends on the usable area of the vintage oil painting that was used in the treasury.
These tiny art pieces can be hung with a careful eye within a gallery wall, they can be used as Christmas tree ornaments for something unique and unexpected or they can be hung in a dollhouse perfect for 1:6 scale dolls. Our favorite way to display these pieces is on our antique National cash register, lovingly creating a mini museum gallery on the register’s keys. Hang these tiny paintings in random areas, tuck one into a wreath, tie one onto a gift…wherever you place them, they will breathe new life into their charge.
