A Match Made in Bizarre Chocolate Heaven: Compartes x Velveeta Chocolates Review
I love to indulge sometimes and recently I took a dive into the world of unique chocolate combinations. I recently had the pleasure of trying the innovative collaboration between Compartes and Velveeta: Compartes x Velveeta Chocolates. As an avid chocolate lover and a pursuer of all things weird, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to taste this unexpected partnership. In this review, I’ll share my firsthand experience and provide insights on these uniquely strange chocolates that blend the rich flavors of Compartes with the unmistakable essence of Velveeta.
Flavor Disruptor
When it comes to flavor, the Compartes x Velveeta Chocolates deliver a cheesy chocolate taste that lingers on your palate. The combination of Velveeta’s creamy cheese sauce paired with Compartes’ smooth, high-quality white chocolate is a match made in a bizarre chocolate heaven. Each bite reveals a stark contrast between the smoothness of the chocolate and the subtle tang of the Velveeta, creating a truly unique and memorable taste experience. I will say, there was something slightly metallic about the flavor combo, but it didn’t take away from the caper.
Texture Profile
The texture of the chocolate is also noteworthy. The outer white chocolate shell looks just like a shell from a box of shells and cheese. The filling is literally Velveeta cheese (which is just fantastic) and therefore the middle is a bit runny compared to the snappy texture of the chocolate. Personally I would have liked a softer chocolate as I just didn’t love the stark contrast between the two textures. I would have liked to have had the chocolate and the cheese kind of melt in your mouth and meld together.

Compartes x Velveeta Chocolates not only excel in a unique flavor combination but also in their sleek presentation. The chocolates come beautifully packaged in an elegant black and sturdy box, complete with a fun collaborative sleeve around the box. The packaging adds an element of sophistication, making it an ideal gift option for any chocolate connoisseur. I have a love affair for tiny reusable boxes that also bring back memories like my Ladurée macaron box from L.A., my Catbird NYC jewelry box I received for my anniversary and now this Compartés chocolate box. I have a Dan Post boot box, filled with tiny reusable boxes and one day I will find something unique to do with all of them.

Compartés is an industry disruptor and Velveeta is a classic standby and when combined, they challenge your taste buds in the most congenial way.
